RatesWelcome to Bay Raider Charters! I’m Capt. Ryan Kellemen and I specialize in light-tackle fishing in and around Sarasota Bay. Fly-fishers, I am also fly friendly! My goal is to provide a safe and fun fishing trip for you, your friends or your family. I would like to share my passion of fishing the flats of Sarasota Bay with you and yours. I will share my tips, techniques and nuances with you that I have learned over the years fishing these waters to not only put you on fish but to hopefully make you a better fisherman or fisher-woman!
Here in Sarasota Bay and her surrounding waters we have, what I believe to be a very special fishery! The area has miles of mangrove shorelines, shallow and deep grass-flats, and numerous spoil islands that Redfish, Snook, Spotted Sea Trout and a variety of other saltwater species call home. The fish found year round in these waters are very abundant. Our waters also are home to many Dolphin, Manatee and exotic birds!
Bay Raider Charters not only offers inshore fishing adventures as described above but also some near shore fishing adventures as well! Fish such as Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Bluefish, Bonita, Tripletail and Cobia follow migratory patterns that bring them along our beaches throughout the year! Though most people have a favorite fish that migrates to our area in the early to mid spring months and stays in our waters till mid to late Summer. This fish is the almighty Silver King, a.k.a., the Tarpon! It is not uncommon to play an hour long tug-of-war with a 150 plus pound Tarpon during this time of year! These fish put on ariel displays that can leave you speechless, all while testing your tackle and your physical prowess!
As your Captain, I promise to accommodate all my anglers in every way possible in order to deliver to you the best and most memorable fishing experience that you and your family can have!
